FAQ

Why do you charge separate for session and images?

I charge separately for my time and for the resulting images (whether digital files or prints, or printed products). The reason for this is because I am a legal licensed business in Colorado and services are not taxed but products are taxed. I have a sales tax license and must collect sales tax. Colorado sales tax must also be collected on a digital product.

Do you deliver all the photos you take?

No, I do not. I eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall end result. You will get a great gallery of images to make your choices and purchase from.

What is the difference in an edited image and a retouched image?

All images presented in a gallery are edited for correct exposure, color, clarity and focus.
Retouching involves much more work, such as skin and hair smoothing, blemish removal, and special effects (this does not include composite images)

When will we get our photos?

Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within 2 weeks (weddings not included in this) . You can purchase downloads, choose your favorites, and also order prints! If you are interested in an heirloom product, contact me to order those directly from me.

Do you include digitals in your session fee?

No, I do not. I charge seperately for my time and for digital images.
A single photo = 1 digital image file.
Contrary to popular belief, there is significantly more value in a digital image file (jpeg) of a photo than a print. A digital file is essentially a "negative" - you are able to print your own photo or have any lab print it for you. You can also share it with your family and friends and they can have it printed themselves.

Do you do "event" photography?

The only "event" photography I do is weddings. I do not photograph family reunions, anniversaries, or large family groups. However, I definitely would love to photograph a Bar or Bat Mitzvah or a Quinceanera.
